Additional insertions of exactly the same ad - 25% discount off lowest

TIER PRICING
FOR SPECIAL LOCATIONS
Standard Rates:
The ad rates
in the table above are for ads placed on the Shepherds' Marketplace page(s).
The ad rate
will be multiplied by the Tier Multiplier for ads inserted at certain
high-traffic pages:
Tier 1 pages:
The main page of any site area other than the ARBA home page, e.g., Romney
Information, Member Services, Membership Directory, Useful Links or
the Site Map.
Tier 2 pages:
Any informational-content
sub-pages of those above, for example, History of the American Romney,
The Romney as a Sire and Dam Breed, etc. that lie under the "Romney
Information" main page.
For example:
(1) a business-card-sized
member ad with a photo of a stud ram on a page on or below Shepherds'
Marketplace would be $31.50
(2) if the
same ad were on the Tier 2 "The Romney as a Sire and Dam Breed"
page, it would be $47.25 ($31.50 x 1.5),
(3) but the
same ad on the Tier 1 Membership Directory main page would be $63
($31.50 x 2)
Further Information
In magazines, the
ad rates for the back and inside covers are higher than the rates elsewhere.
Similarly, on a web site, the most visible (and visited) pages have
higher rates. Also, just as many magazines choose not to run ads on
the same page as a lead story or editorial, ARBA may at its discretion
choose to not permit ads on the ARBA home page or certain other locations.
Web ads are measured
in pixels rather than inches. The physical size on someone's monitor
is dependent on their monitor size and their video settings. A "normal"
size would yield 75 pixels per inch - so a business card of 2"
x 3 ½" would be 150 pixels by 263 pixels for comparison.
The magazine metaphor
doesn't extend to web pages well. In magazines, you can have a page
that is ¾ advertisements. On a web page, if too much of the page
contains ads, the content becomes lost. Equally important, the graphics
of the ad would drastically slow down the downloading of the rest of
the page (our content) so that visitors would very well click away -
not benefiting the advertiser or ARBA. So, ARBA will, at its discretion,
limit the number of display ads on any given page.
