from January. All the board agreed webmaster, Karl Ottenstein, is
doing a great job
..all are very pleased
with the site. The board will review the website in one year.

not to be in a hurry to purchase a computer. Perhaps wait until

on AI protocol to be put on the website. There was discussion about
the fees on the semen collection form. Gaylia announced there will
be a further, minor revision on the collection form concerning NZ
import/export information. Morris moved to accept the revised collection
form (including the new above revision); Candyce 2nd . There was
a bit more discussion; the motion was carried.
2001 National Show: Ray Goff reported the show will be at
NAILE on November 15th at 8:00 A.M.
...which will allow
plenty of time for meetings later in the day. He will be contacting
"Service of America" for a catered dinner. In addition
to steak, chicken, etc., he would like to have leg-o-lamb served
which would be served separately by KY ARBA breeders. NAILE gave
us $200.00 in matching funds, but would not give us $400.00 + monies
that Ray requested. Ray will put back in the white Romney show the
fall ewe lamb class and he's still working on the natural colored
Romney classes. Ray Gavin thanked Ray Goff for all of his efforts
with NAILE. Candyce inquired about travel expense for directors
to the National meeting. Discussion followed.
2001 National Sale: Ray Gavin reported the
sale will be June 22nd and 23rd in Springfield, IL. There should
be advertisements about our sale in Sheep!, Banner, and Shepherd
magazines. ARBA will not be spending money on these ads. ARBA will
get back 1% of the gross sales. The sale catalogue will be mailed
to paid ARBA members plus the ARBA secretary will see that the catalogue
will appear on our ARBA website under "what's new" as
soon as it's available.

account, when necessary, with the consultation/approval of the president.
Ray Goff seconded and the motion was carried.

to run again. Discussion was held concerning Candyce's eligibility
because of her travels. It was decided she is eligible due to her
legal drivers license and voter registration. Discussion was held
concerning nominating committees. Statements from candidates need
to be received by the ARBA secretary by July 14th and the ballots

Marker and The Shepherd. Candyce 2nd and the motion was carried.
5 Generation pedigrees: Jean brought up
the fact that the secretary has two different masters for doing

be sending their association a letter showing our concerns and support
during their trying times with FMD.
ARBA and Scrapie / FMD: There was considerable
discussion about the sheep Scrapie and livestock FMD problems. It
was decided that ARBA's position is that members should contact
their own states' veterinarian or assigned Federal veterinarian
since the regulations vary from state to state. This ARBA position
will be posted on our website and in the Ramblings along with relative
link addresses.
Board attendance at NAILE: A prelimanary
roll call was made of those who plan go to NAILE. It appears as
though the board will have a quorum.
Starter flocks: Cindy Bankhead requested
any and all information of ways of giving starter flocks.
NAILE & Junior NAILE: Ray Goff requeste
support for the Junior NAILE show. It's on probation now
..it
needs 25 head of sheep in order to remain. After July, NAILE information
will be on the internet www.kyfairexpo.org and we will put this
address on the ARBA website under "useful links".
It was moved and seconded to close the meeting.
