2008 ARBA Region 4 Show

Oregon State Fair, Salem, OR will host ARBA’s 2008 Region 4 Romney show where Romneys will be the Featured Breed. There will be natural colored and white Junior shows, natural colored and white Open shows plus a Romney wool show. The tentative date is set for August 23, 2008. Extra awards and premiums are planned for these shows. 2008 ARBA Region 6 Show

The current plans are for the Mountain State Fair, Fletcher, NC to host ARBA’s 2008 Region 6 Romney shows September 11-13, 2008. There will be an open show, junior show plus a fleece show. ARBA’s District 6 Director, Jane Caulfield, tells us that this is a “wonderfully friendly and fun sheep show for Wool breeds that starts with a Pot Luck chicken dinner on Friday night for the sheep exhibitors and their families.” Since plans are currently in the making, please watch for more details on this website and in the June issue of the Romney Ramblings newsletter. 2008 ARBA Region 2 Show

Romneys at Rhinebeck: A Celebration of Romney Sheep.

            Romneys will be the featured breed at the 36th annual New York State Sheep and Wool Festival  (http://www.sheepandwool.com), October 17, 18 and 19, 2008, in Rhinebeck, and will have the only breed-specific sheep and fleece shows of the weekend. Many other read more activities are planned, including the ARBA’s Celebration Banquet and Annual Meeting.

            ARBA Annual Meeting, location to be announced. The Association has reserved a block of rooms at the Quality Inn, Kingston (845-339-3900), $109 per night (1 to 4 persons per room).
